Museveni is Uncle Sam's golden boy. Never mind he has invented a single party democracy and likes to dabble in wars in Congo and Sudan. Museveni points to his 7 percent growth rate as if that balances the rebel groups and corruption of his regime. While his troops fight alongside Congolese rebels things at home are pretty nasty. He also supports the Christian SPLA against Khartoum which then supports the ADF and the LRA. Uganda's messing around in the Congo is why Angolan, Chadian, Zimbabwean and Namibian troops suddenly showed up.
