The NALU is a small rebel band with connections to former Uganda President Milton Obote. These gentlemen are pissed at the West's support of Museveni and in April 1999 announced they were going to "shoot and kill" foreigners. The NALU also claims credit for the killing of eight tourists (including two Americans) in the attack on the Buhoma camping site in Bwindi National Park on March 1, 1999, though the deeds appear to be the work of Interahamwe rebels instead. But these bad boyz aren't all sizzle and no steak. NALU guerrillas were behind the August 25, 1998 bombings of three buses in western Uganda that killed more than 30 people. They are based in Kisinga in the Kasese district.
