There is a certain style of clipjoint in Istanbul and Ankara called a glitter bar, or pavion. Many are found around Taksim Square in Istanbul. The pretty ladies you meet will order enough drinks to melt your VISA card. Even if you drink yourself into a coma without the help of a local lass, your eyeballs will roll back in your head when you see the bill. Owners of pavions do not take kindly to debt restructuring or threats of recrimination. Many patrons have been robbed of watches or rings to meet payment. You will get little sympathy from the local cops.
