Sri Lanka - Getting In

A passport, onward/return ticket and proof of sufficient funds (US$15 per day) are required. A tourist visa can be granted at the time of entry into Sri Lanka, and may be valid for a maximum period of 90 days. For business travel or travel on an official or diplomatic passport, visas are required and must be obtained in advance.

Business visas are valid for one month and require an application form, two photos, a company letter, a letter from a sponsoring agency in Sri Lanka, a copy of an onward/return ticket, and a US$5 fee. Include US$6 postage for return of your passport by registered mail.

Yellow fever and cholera immunizations are needed if arriving from an infected area.
