There are 3 million "Afghan" refugees in Pakistan, most living in squalid mud-walled refugee camps outside of Peshawar and Quetta. Many others live in UNHR tents in small mountainous villages and deserts. They have been there so long that they consider their life better than what is happening inside Afghanistan. There is little chance for education or a greater economic future, but most are waiting for things to settle down in war-wasted Afghanistan.
