The U.S. FAA has prohibited aircraft from Nigerian Airlines from landing in the United States due to the unsafe upkeep of the airline's fleet. Additionally, the quality of fuel used in the airliners doesn't meet international minimum requirements-it's low-grade, often dirty and spiked with other ingredients that don't help planes stay off the ground.
