Medical care in the area known as Kurdistan is rudimentary and far below Western standards. The only care of any value is given by NGOs operating in the area. Diyarbakir in eastern Turkey provides the best medical services in the region. For serious illnesses or injuries, this is where you'll want to start. Then get your ass to Istanbul.
