This is a breakaway faction of the PFLP-GC (which is a breakaway faction of the PFLP, which is a breakaway faction of the PLO). If this sounds like a scene from Monty Python's Life of Brian, you're not far off. The PLF is led by Abu Abbas, or Muhammad Abbas, (b.1938) who usually hangs out in Libya with his buddy Qaddafi or in the Bekaa Valley. Abbas' group is tiny, possibly nonexistent. Their most famous job was the attack on the Achille Lauro and the less than admirable killing of wheelchair-bound Leon Klinghoffer. They are estimated to have 50 members. Now based in Iraq.
