The name "Prithvi" means "earth." The latest models of these nuke-capable projectiles, first tested in January 1996, have a range of 150 miles and can strike most major Pakistani cities within only a few minutes after launch. The short-range version can carry a 1000-kilogram payload. Although the Indians have some fine tuning to do on their accuracy, these little puppies are quite capable of mass death and destruction. It simply remains a matter of on whom and what they fall.
