There is no way to safely get around in Chechnya until things improve dramatically. There is a very high threat of kidnapping (that means journalists).Journalists can only travel in Chechnya on escorted junkets and still run the risk of running into firefights, being bombed by all manner of evil things or just being shot by a drunk Russian soldier.
