Yes, even you have a price on your head. And some rice farmer with a sickle may cash in on it. Police arrested three farmers on charges of conspiring to abduct or kill foreigners for cash rewards from the Khmer Rouge. The Khmer Rouge tells us that Americans are worth $10,000. The three were arrested in the northwestern city of Battambang and charged with offenses under legislation passed in 1994 to outlaw the Khmer Rouge. The farmers were planning to abduct or kill foreigners who were exercising in the town along the river. Khmer Rouge rebels had told the sodbusters they would pay US$1600 for each foreigner abducted and US$800 for each one killed. Life's cheap. Nice to be wanted.
